Rest Easy™ and Inner Garden™ Q&A

•  What is the source of Inner Garden™? Inner Garden™ is a culture that occurs naturally in Nature. (non-GMO)  It is a full spectrum soil-based microbial ecosystem.  If we all ate fresh organic fruits and vegetables from mineral-rich gardens that were not extensively washed, we would be getting this culture on and in our food.

•  How should I take Inner Garden™?  The best way to consume Inner Garden is in some milk, almond milk, rice milk, coconut milk, a smoothie, thinned yogurt, kefir, juice, or warm broth.  This gives the culture some food and helps it get through the stomach more rapidly.  It is beneficial to take 1-2 Tablespoons 3-5 times per day for the first week to help handle any imbalances in your gut flora.  When you notice that your digestion feels better and you have less “mind fog,” then you can go on to a maintenance dose that feels good to you, unless you have any bowel issues or your diet consists of microwaved, processed, or restaurant food.  Then you should continue at a higher dosage.  Eventually, you should notice that your fecal matter is lighter in color with reduced odor.

•  Can I give Inner Garden™ to my kids? Yes.  Depending on the age of the child, you would give them a reduced dose.  Our customers have had successes with the following:  For babies, 1/4 tsp once or twice per day, while you can give older children 1 tsp once or twice per day.

•  My pet has digestive issues.  Is Inner Garden™ okay for pets?  Yes.  In fact, you can mix Inner Garden™ into your pet’s food or mist it on the top.  If  your pet doesn’t like it misted on the food, then mix a little into the food and increase the amount little by little until your pet gets used to the flavor.  Our cat Sweetie wouldn’t eat her food unless Inner Garden™ was misted on it.  Inner Garden™ will help with bad breath, and make the coat softer over time.  You can also spray it on the skin to help with itching issues. Call 727-2344 for specific questions.

•  What are the white specks floating at the top of the bottle? These are yeast cultures, which protect the brew by consuming the oxygen while increasing the number of healthy yeast colonies. These yeast cultures are an important part of the ecosystem culture.

•  I have Candida or other yeast overgrowth; can I still consume the Inner Garden™ or Rest Easy™? Yes! As a matter of fact, many people have found the following to be helpful in re-balancing the gut flora and reducing Candida overgrowth:  1/2 oz. (1 TBSP) Rest Easy™ and Inner Garden taken together, preferably before meals, 3-5 times per day for 120 days, while consuming no sugar and no starch, including chocolate, ice cream, potatoes, pasta, etc.  If you violate this, then the 120 days starts over.  Fruit sugar is okay as long as it is minimal. Inner Garden™ should be taken with some form of food, like milk, warm broth, or juice, while Rest Easy™ can be consumed as is.

•  Why should I not shake the bottle? By shaking the bottle, you will wake up the microbes that have been sleeping in harmony and they will eat up the small amount of food provided in the bottle for them. Thus, you will shorten the shelf life of the bottle very dramatically. If you accidentally shook it up once or twice, don’t worry, but if you smell a sulfur / rotten egg smell upon opening the bottle, then the brew has gone bad.

•  Doesn’t the bottle get shaken during shipping? When we ship the bottle, we usually squeeze out enough of the air that shaking isn’t going to affect the culture, and the little tablespoon full of air on the top is not going to influence anything. On the other hand, if you have used a fair amount of the bottle and then shake it,  you’re introducing a large quantity of air into the solution, which will cause  the microbes to consume the remaining nutrients, thus reducing the shelf life.

•  The brew has gone past its expiration date. How can I tell if it is still good?If it has gone past the expiration date, you can toss it out or use it in your garden (See agricultural usage proportions) but it must not have a rotten egg smell.  If it has a rotten egg/sulfur smell upon opening the bottle, then throw it straight into the trash. It cannot be used. For further questions, please call me at 727-447-2344.

•  Can I put the product in the fridge? Not advised. The microbes like to be warm, just like your internal body temperature. They don’t like cold below 46 Degrees Fahrenheit or +/- 8 Celsius Degrees. By refrigerating the product, you take the chance that the culture will die sooner.

•  Why are other probiotics refrigerated and yours are not? Our culture is alive and active while other refrigerated cultures are in a deep dormant state.  They spoil rapidly without refrigeration. Our microbes are alive, so refrigeration adds stress to them.

•  Can Inner Garden™ or Rest Easy™ be frozen? NO! Once the product is frozen, many of the microbes die from the ice crystals. You might be able to downgrade it for the garden or septic tank use providing that it does not smell like rotten eggs.

•  Why is my package wrapped in bubble wrap?  Saran Wrap and then double boxed? During the winter months, to prevent the product from freezing, we insulate the culture by creating a thermal barrier with bubble wrap and double boxing.

•  I left my Inner Garden™ / Rest Easy™ in a hot car, will it damage the brew? The microbes like it fairly hot up to 125 Degrees Fahrenheit or +/- 51 Celsius Degrees is quite comfortable for them. They probably can tolerate up to 140 Degrees Fahrenheit or 60 Celsius Degrees, but I wouldn’t push it.

•  Why are the bottles caved in? We squeeze out most of the air so that when it is being transported, any shaking doesn’t affect the culture.

•  Why do some bottles expand and not others? Because some brews are more lively and active than others. The key here is to make sure that it has a vinegar / hopsy smell and not a sulfur / rotten egg smell.

•  How long does Inner Garden™ or Rest Easy™ last? 6 months to 1 year. Sometimes, if you have kept the bottle out of direct sunlight and heat, and not shaken or refrigerated it, it will last longer, but you must smell it and it must not smell like rotten eggs/sulfur.

•  Can I take Rest Easy™ in some juice or soup? Yes.  Most find orange juice, prune juice, or cream soups help them to get used to the flavor. Even hot soup is OK, as long as it is palatable. Do not boil!

•  I took Rest Easy before going to bed and slept well, but I woke up at 2-3 am. What should I do? Many of our customers keep a small bottle of Rest Easy on their nightstand, so they can take another dose.  They tell us that they can go back to sleep and wake feeling rested.
